# Upload your 3D Model

This page will guide you through the process of uploading the 3D model of your product to the *Angle 3D Configurator* app.

## Consult 3D Model Guidelines

Before uploading your 3D model, **please refer to our** [**3D model guidelines**](https://www.angle3d.co/get-a-3d-model-guidelines) to make sure that your model **respects our requirements.**

## **Upload 3D Model**

**You can either upload your 3D model directly in Angle 3D Configurator, or in your Shopify Admin dashboard.** It gives exactly the same result.

**Upload it from Angle 3D Configurator**

In order to upload a 3D model in the app directly:

1. Go to the '**Customizer**' section in the left sidebar
2. Search and **select the product** you wish to add the 3D model to.
3. Click on 'Upload a 3D model'
4. **Upload** your 3D model file (.glb)&#x20;
5. You'll be redirected directly to the configurator page once it is uploaded.

&#x20;                                          <mark style="color:green;">**OR**</mark>

**Upload it in Shopify Admin dashboard**

In order to upload a 3D model to your Shopify store, simply follow the steps below:

1. Go to the '**Products**' section on your Shopify store.
2. Search and **select the product** you wish to add the 3D model to.\
   If it's a new product, then directly select 'Add product' on the top right of the screen.
3. **Upload** your 3D model file (.glb) under the '***Media***' section.
4. **Save** your changes <img src="/files/KFAec3vmS94OkojqR4tx" alt="" data-size="line">.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.angle3d.co/angle3d-configurator-documentation/get-started/upload-3d-model/upload-your-3d-model.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
